About the Club

The Essex County Bulldog’s Rugby Program is committed to providing a superior rugby experience for Essex County boys and girls from 5th grade to high school.

Founded in 2010 with only 13 players, the has program quickly developed to become one of the elite rugby programs in New England.

The team is a member of the Massachusetts Youth Rugby Organization and generally plays under Rugby Union rules (i.e., 15 players per side).  The Bulldogs play teams from Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.

As we enter our ninth year, we look to 2017 to be our best year ever. We have new competitive divisions for our high school teams, a full schedule for our middle school team, and new teams to compete against for our Rookie Rugby programs.

We draw players from all over the Essex county region. Our season begins in May and runs through the early summer. Practices  and home matches are held at either Amesbury Sports Park (Amesbury, MA) or Pipestave Hill Athletic Fields (West Newbury, MA). So sign up today by following the link below and become a part of the fastest growing and most exciting sport around.
